AIM Expands Communication to Members

Posted on September 3, 2024

AIM is improving the way we communicate important information to our 3,400 members. The changes reflect the accelerated speed at which issues develop and our commitment to ensuring that members have real-time access the deep expertise AIM brings to these issues.

Beginning today, AIM will communicate important developments on state and federal issues, along with cutting-edge management and human resources insights, through our AIM blog. Many of you read the blog already on the AIM web site (www.aimnet.org) or connect to it through this e-newsletter, but we will now notify member-subscribers immediately via email of any article about a critical issue that could potentially affect their companies.

What’s a critical issue? Think changes in the tax code or the still-pending Massachusetts economic-development bill. Think practical advice from AIM HR Solutions on complying with the new wage-equity and transparency law.

All active AIM members will be subscribed to the blog. The blog articles are for members only and a member login will be required to access the content.

Timely notification gives you as an employer the opportunity to participate in the critical work that AIM does at the intersection of business and public policy. Tell us if an issue has unanticipated implications for your industry. Contact your elected officials to support good legislation or oppose bills that are not helpful. Follow along as AIM brings your voice to the halls of government.

The blog is just one of many channels that AIM uses to keep you “in the know.” We continue to use our social-media assets, YouTube channel, podcasts and live and virtual events to ensure you have in knowledge you need to run your business in Massachusetts. Just two weeks ago, more than 300 members gathered online as a panel of AIM experts unpacked the new Massachusetts wage equity/transparency law.

Or, if you are passionate about a particular issue, consider joining an AIM policy committee. The association currently maintains committees on government affairs, taxation, employment law, health care, Energy/Environment/Sustainability and manufacturing – all of which allow like-minded employers to exchange ideas and take an in-depth look at policy matters.

AIM’s takes seriously its responsibility to communicate with members and we understand what the late Intel CEO Andrew Grove meant when he said that how well we communicate is not determined by how well we say things but how well we are understood.

The success of the common enterprise that is AIM depends upon our ability to make the case that business can be a positive force for change in helping create a better, more prosperous world. Business fuels economies, people, ideas, communities and jobs.
