State to Unveil Enhancements to MassTalent Platform

Posted on October 27, 2024

The Healey-Driscoll Administration will today launch a series of new, significant enhancements to the MassTalent platform, a key strategy in the administration’s Massachusetts Workforce Agenda to connect employers with skilled talent and empower jobseekers with tailored career opportunities. Labor and Workforce Development Secretary Lauren Jones will join Massachusetts Clean Energy Center CEO Dr. Emily Reichert, AIM President & CEO Brooke Thomson, local and state officials, members of the business community, and National Grid New England President Lisa Wieland to make the announcement.

The administration’s initiative, originally launched in 2023, aims to connect employers with jobseekers in the top five high-demand, high-growth industries, including advanced manufacturing, clean energy, health and human services, life sciences, and technology with a special focus on cybersecurity. A host of improvements to the online webpage are designed to create a more dynamic and user-friendly experience – where jobseekers can easily browse open positions or enroll in a training program powered by MassTalent and where employers in targeted industries can find highly skilled, qualified workers and build a sustainable pipeline of employees.

“The 3,400 member companies of Associated Industries of Massachusetts appreciate better than anyone the importance of making connections between skilled talent and employers. The improved MassTalent platform will be a cornerstone of the continued growth of industries such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, health and human services, technology and life sciences,” said Thomson.
