Massachusetts has expanded access to its flagship workforce training fund, creating new opportunities for employers to invest in employee development with a reduced financial burden.
Commonwealth Corporation announced on April 1 that the Workforce Training Fund Program (WTFP) will implement several key policy changes designed to increase access and flexibility for employers across the state.
Key updates include:
These changes reflect a broader effort by the state to balance strong demand for training resources with available funding, while expanding opportunities for employers to respond to evolving workforce needs.
“This is a meaningful shift for employers, particularly mid-sized organizations that may have been more limited by cost in the past,” said Kyle Pardo, Executive Vice President of AIM HR Solutions. “The expanded funding and flexibility make it much easier to move forward with training and invest in building stronger teams.”
Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) has already begun working with member companies to navigate these updates and identify training opportunities aligned with available funding. The organization featured the announcement in its HR Edge publication and is connecting with employers to help them understand how to take advantage of the expanded program.
