Hanna Joins Board of Economic Advisors

A veteran investment-management executive has joined the Associated Industries of Massachusetts Board of Economic Advisors (BEA).

Ryan Hanna, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Cambridge Trust, joins a group of experts who oversee the monthly AIM Business Confidence Index and advise AIM about public-policy issues affecting the economy. The group is chaired by Sara Johnson, retired Executive Director of Global Economics at S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Hanna has spent his entire career with Cambridge Trust Wealth Management, accumulating more than 25 years of experience in equity markets. Since joining Cambridge Trust in 1994, he has served in a client- facing capacity with individuals, trusts, foundations and non-profit organizations building globally diversified portfolios across different asset classes, with an emphasis on delivering strong returns designed to help clients meet their financial goals.

As Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Hanna was responsible for guiding portfolio management efforts and setting the strategic direction for the investment team with an emphasis on asset allocation and portfolio construction. As the Director of Equities, he worked closely with the team of investment analysts and was responsible for coordinating research efforts and strategy, including stock selection, risk management and oversight of the investment team. Hanna has served as the Co-Portfolio Manager of the flagship Core Equity Strategy and the Equity Income Strategy.

He is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society Boston, Inc. and the Boston Economic Club.
