Five Business Leaders Elected to AIM Board of Directors

Five distinguished business leaders have joined the Board of Directors of Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), the statewide business association.

The AIM Board recently elected Timothy J. DelGiudice, Government Relations, Raytheon Division of RTX Corporation; Mauricio Falanti, Vice President, P&G Gillette Product Supply Transformation, The Gillette Company LLC; Sheryl McQuade, New England Regional President, TD Bank; Nicola Medalova, Chief Operating Officer, Electric, National Grid New England; and Nicole M. Verdi, Esq., Head of New England Government Affairs and Policy, Orsted Americas.

The new members were elected to serve three-year terms.

“AIM is delighted to welcome five directors who will add energy, experience and intelligence to our deliberations on behalf of Massachusetts employers,” said Patricia Begrowicz, Chair of the AIM Board of Directors and President of Onyx Specialty Papers in South Lee.

“We are deeply gratified that this group of new directors is made of up respected, senior business leaders who represent the full variety of people and companies that are part of the Massachusetts economy.”

The new AIM Directors are:

Timothy J. DelGiudice, Government Relations, Raytheon Division of RTX Corporation

  • Timothy DelGiudice is currently a member of the Raytheon Technologies Government Relations team where he is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key elected and appointed decision makers and their staffs at all levels of government. As the Site Leader of the Portsmouth, RI site, Mr. DelGiudice is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the site consisting of more than 1000 employees conducting research and development, engineering, radar test, business operations and precision manufacturing across a 125-acre campus. Mr. Delguidice serves as a member of the AIM Government Affairs Committee.

Mauricio Falanti, Vice President, Grooming Product Supply Transformation, The Gillette Company LLC

  • Mauricio Falanti joined Procter & Gamble in 1997 in his native Argentina and assumed positions of increasing responsibility before becoming Vice President of Grooming Product Supply Transformation. He served for two years as manager of P&G’s plants in South Boston and Andover. An industrial engineer by training, Mr. Falanti has also represented the grooming operation in the community, acting as a sponsor for the Latin and Hispanic Network and an ally of the Boston Women’s Network.

Sheryl McQuade, New England Regional President, TD Bank

  • Sheryl McQuade leads TD Bank’s New England consumer and small business, commercial, and middle-market banking and lending services throughout a network of approximately 310 stores and nearly 2,900 employees in the greater New England region. She joined TD in 2019 as Regional President of the Northern New England Metro and has more than 30 years’ experience serving many banking roles in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Her previous experience includes commercial and middle-market banking, consumer banking, credit risk management and retail branch development within New England at Bank of America, Fleet Bank and Berkshire Bank. Ms. McQuade serves on the board of directors of the Granite YMCA and the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association.

Nicola Medalova, Chief Operating Officer, Electric, National Grid New England

  • Nicola Medalova is responsible for electricity distribution, transmission and interconnection to Canada for National Grid New England.  In addition to serving customers’ daily needs, leading storm response and investing billions of dollars per year in the company’s networks, the National Grid New England Electric business is focused on delivering strategic investments to enable the Massachusetts state goals for electrification by 2050. Ms. Medalova joined National Grid in 2007 to manage its portfolio of contaminated land in the UK, and subsequently led its Commercial Property business.  Thereafter, in an executive role in the UK Electricity System Operator, she led Electricity Market Development, shaping the commercial and technical frameworks that govern the electricity industry.

Nicole M. Verdi, Esq., Head of New England Government Affairs and Policy, Orsted Americas

  • Nicole Verdi was named in July 2023 as co-chair of the AIM Board of Directors Government Affairs Committee. She directs regional government affairs and policy operations for Orsted Americas, which operates more offshore wind energy projects than any other company in the world. Orsted is committed to being the first energy company to reach net-zero carbon emissions. The company employs more than 500 people across 14 offices in the United States. Prior to joining Orsted, Ms. Verdi served as Chief Legal Council to the Rhode Island Senate President and, before that, was Deputy Chief of Staff to former Governor Gina Raimondo.
