AIM Adds Two Experts to Board of Economic Advisors

Associated Industries of Massachusetts has added two distinguished experts to its Board of Economic Advisors, which oversees the publication of the monthly Massachusetts Business Confidence Index.

Suzanne L. Dwyer, President of the Massachusetts Capital Resource Company, and Nada Sanders, Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management at Northeastern University, will join a 12-member board that has provided economic direction to the association since 1991.

“Suzanne Dwyer and Nada Sanders both combine a broad view of economic trends with extensive knowledge of the issues faced by employers during this unique period,” said John Regan, President and Chief Executive Officer of AIM and a member of the BEA.

“AIM welcomes their perspectives and extensive experience to the Board of Economic Advisors.”

Dwyer became president of Massachusetts Capital Resource Company in January.

She brings more than 25 years of experience structuring mezzanine capital investments and senior bank loans for middle market companies.

Prior to joining MCRC in 2008, Dwyer was a Senior Vice President in the commercial lending group at Brown Brothers Harriman and a Vice President at State Street Bank, where she began her banking career.

She is Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of Ellis Memorial, a non-profit social service agency.  She previously served as a Director and Treasurer of the Boston Latin School Association.  She is a graduate of the Boston Latin School; earned a B.A. in Management and Spanish from Bridgewater State University, and an MBA from Babson College.

Sanders is an internationally recognized expert in forecasting, predictive analytics, risk management, and supply chain management. Her research includes identifying best practices in forecasting, developing a corporate technology strategy, and creating a resilient supply chain.

She has provided training and consulting to a range of Fortune 500 companies, including IDG, Nike, AT&T, CIBA Corning, Mattel, MTC Corp., Dell, and many others.

Sanders earned her PhD. and Master of Business Administration at the Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.

Her teaching includes advanced supply chain management problems, supply chain strategy, supply chain analytics, and forecasting. She has taught at a wide range of academic levels, primarily at the MBA and Executive MBA levels, and has designed multiple successful MBA programs.
