Read MoreAssociated Industries of Massachusetts today congratulated seven member companies named to the Boston Business Journal’s 2020 list of Largest Family-Owned Businesses in Massachusetts.
In order to qualify for the BBJ list, two or more family members must be the largest shareholders of a Massachusetts-based company or the company must be majority-owned by an individual with at least one family member employed full-time in a management position.
The seven AIM-member family businesses together employ almost 21,000 people and had combined total revenues of approximately $11 billion in 2019.
“These companies underscore the central role that family-owned companies play in the Massachusetts economy. The growth of these enterprises also illustrates the importance of having our elected officials maintain a strong business climate here in the commonwealth,” said John Regan, President and Chief Executive Officer of AIM.
