AIM President Brooke M. Thomson has been named among five 2023 Winner’s Circle honorees by the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus (MWPC). The award recognizes women and men who have dedicated their careers and lives to elevating women and uplifting and empowering their communities.

The award winners in addition to Ms. Thomson are State Senator Lydia Edwards; State Representative Hannah Kane; Lee Pelton, President and CEO of the Boston Foundation; and Juan Fernando Lopera, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Beth Israel Lahey Health.

Ms. Thomson became president of AIM in June as part of a leadership transition that will see current Chief Executive Officer John Regan step down on December 31. Ms. Thomson is the first female president of the commonwealth’s largest business association and will be the first female CEO in the organization’s 109-year history when she assumes that role on January 1.

Ms. Thomson was a member of the AIM Board of Directors before joining the senior management team as Executive Vice President of Government Affairs more than four years ago.

As President, Ms. Thomson is committed to expanding the progress that AIM has made in diversifying its membership, reflecting the statewide business community needs, and advancing policies that support both economic competitiveness and economic opportunity for the people of Massachusetts. Ms. Thomson previously served as vice president of Government Affairs for AT&T and is a former senior official with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office.

MWPC will honor the 2023 Winner’s Circle awardees at an event on December 4 from 6-8 pm at the UMass Club in Boston.
